Smart Cater
Terms of use
Last updated 30 September 2026
Smart Cater is an online ordering service. Each kitchen listed here is its own business: it prepares and delivers the food, sets its prices and rules, and is the one you buy from.
Ordering
- An order is a request until the kitchen accepts it. You'll get an email when it's accepted or if it can't be done.
- Each kitchen shows how much notice it needs, its minimum order, delivery areas and fees before you order.
- Some items, like coffee on tap, are billed on what's actually served. The kitchen updates the total after the event.
Allergies and dietary needs
Tell the kitchen about every allergy and dietary need when you order. Kitchens take care, but food may be prepared near common allergens. If an allergy is severe, call the kitchen before you order.
Payment
You pay the kitchen directly, by the method shown on your order (for example bank transfer, or invoice terms if the kitchen has approved them). Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Changes and cancellations
Each kitchen's cancellation policy is shown on its page and on your order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Accounts
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You're responsible for orders placed from your account.
- We may pause accounts that misuse the service.
For kitchens
Kitchens apply to join and are reviewed before they go live. A kitchen is responsible for its menu, prices, food safety, allergen information and the orders it accepts.
